“A symbol of transition, a door or a gate provide a passage way.”
On our farm we have several old buildings, and I knew I needed to get my “door” photos before we headed north on our trip! Here’s some great door/gate photos from the farm:
The setting sun provided perfect light to spotlight the wren on the limb.
After Caris’ gymnastics class I was able to watch Bryce play baseball!
I had a chance to go to one of Caris’ gymnastics classes and take some photos.
“Imagine your image in a catalog or a magazine. It’s not as easy as it sounds.”
I had several ideas of what I might do for this week, but time got away from me. Richard and I got out the watermelon on this HOT day, and I thought, hey, here’s my chance for a photo to sell watermelon!
“Get down low; below 2 feet, and change your perspective. Look out or look up.”
This one seemed hard for me, but I was able to find two neat items to photo “from below” while at Purina Farms for a dog agility trial.
Along with the usual Mother’s Day celebration with 3 generations of mothers, we also celebrated Jessica’s FIVE YEARS SOBER on Mother’s Day! Richard smoked great meat and beans, and great friends came to share the day.
“Having an edge cut through the sun looks nice, or having the sun rising over a line or diagonal within the photo. Stop down the aperture to create a starburst.”
This was another busy week with travels and visiting my son and his lovely family. This is actually one of my favorite subjects, and I did get these few nice shots during a sunset in New Jersey. I didn’t fully follow the instructions by having an edge cut through the sun, but I did get the starburst.
After my board meetings in Maryland, I took a train to Trenton, NJ to visit with Justin, Calie, and their boys. Here’s some photos of our fun there!
“Capture an image on your terms; who, what, where, when, why, how … it’s all up to you. Caveat: You must tell us your intent.”
This week I was really busy at the NARM Board meeting in Rockville, Maryland. However, I did take time one morning to take more lensball photos! My intent was to photo the buildings using my lensball and learning more about how to get the best from the lensball.
